New Orleans Newborn Photographer {Holland 2 weeks}

      Every session has a special story surrounding it. Sarah contacted me months ago on facebook inquiring about a session. She mentioned she was a photographer in Shreveport (which is in Louisiana but about 5 and 1/2 hours north of me) and was interested in a newborn session. I kind of brushed it of thinking there was no way she would drive down here with a brand new baby…..and then she booked her session.

      I think with her being a photographer, she was totally understanding of letting me be creative which was so refreshing. She chose blue for an accent color and mentioned her older daughter was a red head and I think my heart may have exploded with excitement. I ordered a few new things for her session to make it extra special. Marina from Lavender and Moss has the MOST beautiful little pillow sets and tulle bonnets so I knew that was a must.

      Her session day was fast approaching and I have to admit, I had butterflies! I never get butterflies but for some reason if I’m photographing another photographer they come. Especially with a photographer as amazing as Sarah. But they quickly melted away once I saw how down to earth and friendly Sarah was and once I got Holland in my hands all of those nerves calmed down.

      Oh man this sweet girl did not disappoint. She slept so well and looked so beautiful in everything. While we were sitting there and I was wrapping her, her mom spotted a box from Poppy and Cy. It was a delicate tieback that I just got so naturally had to use….obsessed. Now I need every color!

      I thought lavender would complement the soft blue we used. These colors looked so pretty together! And of course all of my wooly layers are from Cwtchicoo, nothing but the best. It’s hard to go to there page so I can link it here because I will end up buying something lol.

      I’ve recently become obsessed with knits from Maple Cottage Props. They are so soft and stretch and thick….so perfect! I think Holland liked it too because she gave the biggest grin!

      Holland’s big sister Bradleigh was just about the sweetest little thing EVER! At almost 3 years old she was so well behaved and so good with her baby sister. And not to mention SO beautiful! Photographing these two together was a dream.

      Good genes obviously run in this family….how does one look SO gorgeous after giving birth??

      I had too much fun with this session… three beauties and it is always so nice meeting fellow photographers. Hoping one day my northern Louisiana friends and my southern Louisiana friends can meet in the middle!

      Now booking summer 2020 due dates. If you are interested in scheduling a session, fill out my contact form today.
