Come spend a day with me and learn everything about how I conduct a newborn session from start to finish! I have a very systematic approach to newborn photography. Given that my sessions take place on Saturday morning’s after a long week of teaching high school, my time is precious. I have developed an efficient system that keeps my session time down. I am intentional in my posing and a believer in quality over quantity. I will show you how to purposefully and skillfully pose babies to create beautiful galleries.
After a morning of learning posing techniques, we will spend the afternoon covering editing. In a world where there are newborn photographers around every corner (and good ones at that), your editing can set you apart from the crowd. You will leave with the knowledge to create consistently beautiful newborn art. A “workbook” will be provided containing all of the details of what we go over so that you may focus your attention on absorbing the information rather than taking notes. Mentees will be added to a Facebook group for continued support and encouragement.
You will learn:
- How I prepare parents for a session
- How I set up for a session
- Tips on styling sessions
- What equipment I use
- Newborn Safety
- Soothing techniques
- Lighting (studio)
- My tips and tricks for posing and shooting
- My newborn session workflow
- Wrapping techniques
- Newborn editing
